Set up your organisation
Start with an owner account and a small group of people you can test with. You don’t need to import your entire history before using the app.
- In Settings → Organisation, check the organisation name, branding, reply-to address and workforce type. Review the suggested words before saving.
- In Settings → Features, enable the parts you need. Pay for hours, Flexible hours and the Check-in kiosk are optional features.
- Set up your teams, roles and locations. Give roles any age, training or check requirements you actually use.
- In Settings → Reporting and approvals, assign company areas, managers and management scopes. Review permissions before giving wider access.
- Configure onboarding steps and documents. Add your privacy notice link in Settings → Forms before collecting public applications.
- Add or import people. Check imported rows before applying them, and decide whether invitations should be sent.
- Create a few shifts and test the process with a staff member.
- Try a leave request, hours entry and expense claim. Confirm that the right person can approve them.
If you use hourly pay, check each person’s pay type, rate and the Pay from date before processing past shifts. If you use leave, confirm allowances and working hours.
Before inviting everyone
Section titled “Before inviting everyone”Check one manager, someone they manage and someone outside their reporting group. Confirm what each person can see and change. Keep an owner available while adjusting access.
Your organisation decides employment policies, document wording and who approves work. The app’s starting settings should be reviewed against those decisions.
